Standing With Giants

The Canadian Rockies are a place that I believe everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Standing at the base of mountains that have existed for millions of years while surrounded by a valley full of vibrant colours and life gives you a perspective that only nature can provide. I consider myself fortunate to have called this place my home for many years, which gave me the opportunity to explore some truly breathtaking locations. One region that holds a special place in my heart is Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. It is home to the highest peak in the Southern Continental Ranges of the Canadian Rockies, towering at 3,618m.

I visited the park during late fall and luckily, it hadn’t snowed yet. I spent three days in the park with one of my good buddies, and together, we captured some of the most incredible scenes. The larch trees still held onto their last bit of colour, creating a beautiful sea of yellow. As we stood at a lookout, watching the sun setting, I gazed up at the mountains. These giants with glaciers hanging off them and rocks that have been there for millions of years were here long before I arrived and will be there long after I’m gone.

Common Questions

What does ‘Limited Edition’ mean?

Limited Edition means that there will only ever be a pre-determined number of prints produced of each photograph. Once the edition sells out, there will never be another reprint or sale of that photograph from the artist.

How do you hang the artwork?

All of our pieces will arrive with the necessary hanging equipment already attached to the back of the frame. In addition, one set of drywall anchors will be included with each purchase for mounting on drywall only. For more detailed information on how to hang your artwork, please refer to our FAQs page.

How long will shipping take?

We know you’ll be waiting in anticipation to receive your new artwork at your door! Orders are generally dispatched within 14 days after you place your order. Once shipped, the arrival timeframe is an additional 7-14 business days, depending on the final destination and courier. Please note that we cannot ship to a PO Box, and remote areas might need more time for shipping.  If there is going to be a delay beyond this timeframe, we will be in touch.

Can I see the artwork in person?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage everyone to come to experience the fine art prints in person. The Marc James Gallery is located at 1C/34 Tallebudgera Creek Road, Burleigh Heads.

What is your refund and return policy?

Marc James Limited Editions are custom-made, and as such, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 7 days of receipt and receive store credit for a future purchase. Returned items need to be in a like-new condition.  All artwork goes under a final quality assurance inspection before being carefully packed to ensure its safety during shipping. Every piece is also insured during transit. In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery to qualify for a replacement, and we’ll organise it, free of charge. However, any damage reported outside of this window will not be eligible for a replacement.

All Marc James' pieces are printed on one of the highest-grade fine art materials available today - aluminium dye sublimation printing. This special process involves sublimating the ink directly onto a sheet of light-reactive white aluminium using heat and pressure. The result is a print with exceptional brightness, vibrancy, and clarity that most other printing techniques cannot match. The prints are so luminous that they almost appear backlit at times.

The final product merges this with a hidden frame attached to the back to let the piece float elegantly off your wall, creating the perfect modern art piece for any home or space.
